Welcome to the RheinBurgenWeg!
Hiking on legendary trails
Diverse and breathtaking, the winding footpaths take you up hills and through idyllic side valleys. The trail is perfect for adventurers and culture-lovers, stressed-out professionals and people in need of a break. The RheinBurgenWeg offers a vibrant mix of excitement and contemplative moments.
The RheinBurgenWeg stretches for 200 km, taking you through a unique cultural landscape from the Rolandsbogen near Remagen to the Mäuseturm at Bingen. Along the way you can experience the many facets of the Rhenish Slate Mountains, discover the Ahr valley – one of Germany’s northernmost wine regions – and marvel at the world’s highest cold-water geyser at Andernach. From there the footpath leads you on to Koblenz, gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage site ‘Upper Middle Rhine Valley’. The RheinBurgenWeg, which follows the left bank of the Rhine to Bingen, traverses the whole of the World Heritage valley and is one of Germany’s most beautiful hiking trails.
