Around the turn of the century, the Romans built Rigomagus, a fort that was subsequently expanded into a fortified stronghold as the southernmost base of the Lower Germanic Limes. In July 2021, Remagen's Roman heritage was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the guided tour, you will visit the remains of this military border fortification as well as the Roman Museum.
