In the forest classroom not only lessons take place in the forest, it invites you to rest. In case of bad weather, you can still picnic in nature. The forest classroom is the starting point of hikes and guided tours on the forest nature trail.
Since 2012, visitors to the Damscheid forest have been able to learn about the history of forestry and forest habitats. On an area of 7 hectares and along a path of 1500 meters, forest visitors can experience the forest and its history at various stations. The Damscheid / Oberwesel forest nature trail was supported by many sponsors from the Middle Rhine region. The nature trail and the various stations were built by the citizens of Damscheid, who also maintain the forest nature trail with a great deal of commitment.
