Skulpturenpark "Begegnung"

Following the inspiration of the stone, its character and dimensions, this sculpture is created in the dualism of material colors and shapes: Austere and angular outside, softly harmonious modulated out inside, in concave and convex curves approaching the touch, but still not matching congruently. This tension is supported and intensified by the different colors of the marble. Already the colors indicate: There are two different blocks of stone that stand in relation to each other here. The concept is clear: not one stone is cut, but two different ones are joined together. The forms speak to each other, avoiding any hardness. Therefore, only the outer sides remain smoothly cut, cleanly polished - the tension field of the space in between is dynamically worked by hand. The contrast depicted here is multi-layered in every respect: from afar, two seemingly identical parts that belong together - and from close up, two apparently still dissimilar contact surfaces. The gap, which is highly different on both sides, supports this contrast.
