Tsars and kings were captivated by the artworks. There is also a collection of Kinzing clocks.
On the lower level, the Westerwald room is furnished with furniture and household goods from the time of Raiffeisen. This provides insight into the lives of "ordinary" people,
The Roentgen Museum Neuwied was opened in 1928 as a district museum in a building designed by the Cologne architects Mattar and Scheler. Its collections have continuously grown through numerous acquisitions, donations, and loans from public and private sources. The sensitive design of the Roentgen and Raiffeisen rooms allows visitors to discover precious and historically valuable exhibits. On nice days, the romantic museum garden invites you to relax after the tour. The museum is operated by the district of Neuwied.
The permanent exhibition is complemented by changing art exhibitions.
The museum is barrier-free. The different floors are accessible by elevator.
