However, cytostatic drugs (‘cancer drugs’) should be disposed of via the hazardous waste collection centre (Schadstoffmobil). Please never dispose of old medicines down the drain or in the toilet, as the drugs will then end up in the water cycle and ultimately in your drinking water!
