Hagelkreuz
Oberstraße10, 55422 Bacharach
A "hail cross" was erected here in 1667. It commemorates a severe storm that destroyed the vineyards of the Trechtingshäuser small winegrowers and should protect the village from further storms. The lookout point can be reached from the center of the village via the old cow path. About 100 meters away in the direction of the path to the Gerhardshöfe, the municipality established a new lookout point two years ago. Hikers should always follow the "cow symbol". The lookout point is equipped with a seat and table. From there you can enjoy undisturbed the view into the Middle Rhine Valley and all the way to Bacharach.
