A monument in the form of a bronze plaque stands at the entrance to the park.
Park layout named after Princess Elisabeth of Wied (1843-1916), who married Prince Karl of Hohenzollern, who was King of Romania from 1866 to 1914, in 1869. Elisabeth became known under her pen name "Carmen Sylva" and for her social commitment.
